She was predeceased by: her spouse Kazys Jim Simas; and her sisters, Laura Angelina Tong and Peggy Thibault. She is survived by: her daughters, Amber Simas and Tina Megahey; her sons-in-law, Murray Bowler, James Richard Dadson and John Megahey; her grandchildren, Jimo, Michael, Shanti, Nicholas and John Patrick; her nieces and nephews, Mary James of Sault Ste, Marie, Paul, Donald, Robert, Lois, Penny and Wendy; and her grandchildren, Anais and Ash.

She regularly volunteered for the Alzheimer's Society, and loved to sing and perform at events.
