She was predeceased by : her parents, Albertus Papôt and Martina Schavemaker; and her siblings, Kees, Tien and Cornelia.

She is survived by : her children, Richard (Maureen Hudder), Fami (Carmelo Savasta), Philles (Tony La Russa), Wesley Smith (Michelle Guerin) and Louisa Marsolais (Mary Bachat); her grandchildren, Damian Babuder, Jessica (Benoit Poulin), Cees ''Casey'', Sadie La Russa (Chaz Emsley), Scott (Sarah Melney), Laura (Noel McNeill), Krista Smith, Meeka and Christopher Marsolais (Paige Smith); her great grandchildren, Jackson, Taylor Poulin, Molly, Clark McNeill, Dezmond Babuder, Hunter Emsley and Nathan Smith; and her siblings, Femia, Helena, Leo, Ria, Albert, Emmie and Pieter. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
