She was predeceased by: her siblings, Catherine McDonald, Joseph (Erna Kuranyi) and George Kuranyi; and her brother-in-law James Rodgers. She is survived by: her husband Don Reay; her sons, Michael Hertel (Tracey) and Ronald Hertel (Gwen); her grandchildren, Emily, Grayham, Jared, Tyya and Aaron; her siblings, Betty Rodgers, Stephen (Lorraine Kuranyi), Rose (Nick Lawrence), Anne (Dave Harkes) and Michael Kuranyi (Cheryl); and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Kuranyi and Don McDonald.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home (166 Bruce St N, Durham, ON N0G 1R0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
