He was predeceased by : his wife Florence; and his brothers, Irwin Matthews and Morris Matthews. He is survived by : his children, Bill Matthews (Maralee), Ron Matthews, Jim Matthews, Ruth (David Murray) and Craig Matthews; his stepchildren, John, Donna Narraway, Christine, Robert Vanderniet, Margaret, Doug Potts and Diane Moore; his grandchildren, Jeanette, Greg, Stacey, Chris, Jordan and Fraser; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Aiden, Charlie and Sean.
