It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard David Steele of Russell, Ontario, born in Montréal, Québec, who passed away on January 15, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Fran Bennett; his sons, Todd Steele of Russell and Warren Steele; his sister Diane Lair of Maine; his brother-in-law George Lair; his former life partner Raja Wysocki of Russell; his granddaughters, Danielle McNamee of Brockville and Kiara Lopiccolos; and his parents, Stuart Steele and Lillian Lovett. He was also cherished by her two sons in Michigan; and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In memory of Richard, donations to Habitat for Humanity, Brockville Food Bank, or Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
