He was predeceased by: his parents, John Asbil and Violet Asbil. He is survived by: his wife Mavis; his children, Brent (Carol), Andrew (Mary), Mark (Andrea) and Cynthia (Jennifer); his child-in-law Cyndi Asbil; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Megan, Haley, Hannah, Karl, Bridget, Cole, Grant and Sophie; his brother Henry Asbil; and his brothers-in-law, Wilbur Shaver and Ray Shaver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George's Church in St. Catharines.
