He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rita; his children, Richard (Angie Laing), Steven and Sandra (Keith Gowans); his grandchildren, Christian Whalley Ross, Abbie and Aidan Gowans; his siblings, Ed, Jim (Jenny), Bert, Victor (Irene), Rudy (Connie), Mike (Anne), Stanley (Stephanie) and Wally (Mike Kaczkan); his family Chet; and his parent Polish. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, The Niagara Health Foundation, or to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
