She was predeceased by : her husband Mackenzie Chown; her mother Mary Charles Mikkelborg; and her siblings, Frieda Gray (George), Mildred Locke (Grant), Edith Heuser (Neil) and Gordon (Dora).

She is survived by : her brother Charles Mikkelborg (Gwen) of Calgary; her close friend Stuart Wilson; her children, David (Karen), Nancy Balcom (Jim), Donald (Linda), Bob (Mary Ellen) and Roger (Martha); and her grandchildren, Chantal Richardet (Adam), Trevor, Lauren Chown, Kristen (Seth Hollar), David Balcom, Sarah, Katelyn, Laura Chown (Chris Bartels), Dan, Erin, Andrew Chown, Mackenzie (Kylee Hinde) and Emma Chown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
