It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erna Duerksen of Saint-Catharines, Ontario, who passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lydia Stiller and Ludwig Welke; her husband Abram Duerksen; her brother Erwin Welke (Johanna); her sisters-in-law, Justina Reimer and Lydia Penner; and her children, Elsa Dyck (Ed), Lydia Plett (Walter), Erna Storm (George), Neil Duerksen (Angela), Harry Duerksen (Nancy) and Marianne Toews. She was also cherished by 42 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
