He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara McSpadden and Fred McSpadden; his brother Don; and his father-in-law Donald. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Brent McSpadden (Janet) and Susan (Craig Gaynor); his grandchildren, Katelyn (Tyler Spyker) of Alberta, Andrew McSpadden, Ryan, Bryce and Ian Gaynor; his great grandchild Parker Spyker of Alberta; and his mother-in-law Viola Haynes. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Peacefully entered into rest surrounded by love of his family, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's on Monday, February 6, 2023.
