We are sad to announce that, on August 31, 2021, Gordon Gillespie (Saint-Catharines, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his sisters, Marilyn Jackson (Robert) and Anne Wilson; and his brother-in-law Hubert Hecker. He is survived by: his wife Magda; his son Troy (Kim); his grandchildren, Owen and Rachel; his brother John Gillespie (Agnes); his brother-in-law Paul Hecker; and his pets, Buffy, Duke and Buddy. He is also survived by his 7 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gord's memory to the local Community Care, or the local soup kitchen would be appreciated by his family.

“My brother Wayne and I (Ernie) Derksen were very sad to here of Gords passing. We lived across the street from his Gulf Station on Glendale in St. Catharines in the 60s and both worked for him and Keith MacDonald while we were going to school. My brother is now 77 and I'm 72. We had a lot of fun working for Gord who always respected his customers had a very infectious laugh on funny moments and expected us to be great helpers to his customers. Enjoy his memories as many will!”
