He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham and Agatha; and his brothers, Peter and Albert. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Wiens; his children, Susan Gruhl, Joanne Secord (Peter), Nancy Vickers (Ian) and David Wiens (Susan); his grandchildren, Alicia (Ryan), Justine (David), Jamie (Caity), Jasmine (Max), Carden, Morgan, Madelyn, Matthew and Jakob; his great grandchildren, Liam and Noah; his sister Agathe Pahl; and his sisters-in-law, Christel Holder, Leni Bleich and Erika Kraft. He is also survived by friends and extended family.

Since Covid Jake and Rosie spent much of their time together playing games and enjoying coffee at Port Dalhousie.

As expressions of sympathy donations to Grace Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
