He was predeceased by : his parents, Eduardo Sousa and Maria Sousa. He is survived by : his wife Lucy Sousa; his children, Michelle, Janet and Brian; his step-children, Elizabeth, Helder and Christine; and his brother John Sousa. He is also survived by his sister-in laws, nieces, nephews and godchildren, many friends.

A mass was held on Friday, January 8th 2021 at 1:00 PM at the St. Julia Parish (251 Glenridge Ave, St. Catharines, ON L2T3K2). Due to CoVid restrictions, the church can only accommodate 9 participants to attend the mass, therefore, a livestream is available for all those in the United States, Canada and Portugal to be able to attend the service.
