He was predeceased by: his parents, Eduardo Sousa and Maria Sousa. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Sousa; his children, Michelle, Janet and Brian; his stepchildren, Elizabeth, Helder and Christine; and his brother John Sousa. He is also survived by his sister-in laws, nieces, nephews and godchildren, many friends.

Due to CoVid restrictions, the church can only accommodate 9 participants to attend the mass, therefore, a livestream is available for all those in the United States, Canada and Portugal to be able to attend the service.
