He is survived by: his wife Sheila Rooney (Hogan); his sons, Tim Bryson (Brenda), Stephen Bryson (Traci) and Paul Rooney (Laura); his grandchildren, Emily-Jane, Janna, Erin, Lucas and Claire; his sisters, Patricia G. Rooney Atkins and Leona Dolores Grimstead of St. Catharines; his nephew Khan Rooney of Montreal; and his sister-in-law Carol Lawless of Cobourg.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital https://nhhfoundation.ca or The Gloria Rooney Education Fund are welcome.
