With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Monika Johnson (Saint-Catharines, Ontario), born in Vineland, Ontario, who passed away on February 19, 2018 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; her son-in-law Nick McShane; her parents-in-law, Jack and June; and her father Heinz Lakeit.

She is survived by: her children, Jay Johnson (Kristen) and Jessica McShane; her grandchildren, Gray McShane, Weston McShane and Ruby McShane; her sister Yutta Savoia (Bob); her sibling's children, Andrea Johnston (Stephen) and Ryan Savoia (Jill Potter); and her sisters-in-law, Jayna Farragher (Rob) and Jill Foote (Rob). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society in Monika's name.
