He was predeceased by: his parents, August and Anna; his stepmother Berta; and his siblings, Edeltraut Wolfe, Werner, Horst Biebersdorf and Else Zimmermann of Niagara.
He is survived by: his wife Irmgard Biebersdorf; his children, Barbara Rankie (Mark) and Thomas (Nicole); his granddaughters, Danielle Rankie (Greg) and Celine Rankie (Jake); and his siblings-in-law, Gretel Biebersdorf and Wilfried Brauckmann. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As an expression of sympathy, those who wish, may make a memorial donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Heidehof Home for the Aged.
