Patrick Hegarty Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Hegarty of Saint-Davids, Ontario, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patrick Hegarty to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his close friend Doreen; the mother of his children Sylvia; his sons, Steven Hegarty, Michael Hegarty and Timothy Hegarty; his sisters, Bridget and Teresa McMullen (Tom); his parents, William Hegarty and Julia Hegarty of Letterkenny; and his sister Catherine.

He is survived by: his wife Angela; his children, Wayne Hegarty (Christine), Kerry Anne Hegarty, Alison Hegarty (John Gartner) and Leslie Hegarty; his grandchildren, Jade, Tristan, Brendan, Shannon, Kaitlin, Zachary, Emma, Justin, Evan and Brittany; his great grandchildren, Arianna, Tianna, Urijah, Swayze, Beckham, Lily, Adrian, Maia, Rowan, Ivy Grace and Maeve Eibhlín; his siblings, Francis McDaid (late Brendan), Roshine and Rodger; and his pet Chloe (Chocolate Lab). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat will be affectionately remembered for his great wit and humour, his sharp intellect, his compassion, kindness and stoicism that was present right to the end as he battled Alzheimer's and cancer.
