Walter Pietersen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Pietersen of Saint-Davids, Ontario, who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pietersen and Mary Pietersen; his brother Harry Pietersen; and his brother-in-law Michael Sharkey. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Pietersen; his children, Jay Pietersen (Vasilisa) and Sarah Redekop (Rob); his grandchildren, Reese, Ryan Redekop, Valeria and Valentin Derkach; his brother John Pietersen (Lee); and his in-laws, Karen Pietersen, Ruthann Sharkey and Warren Jeffery. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

In memory of Wally memorial donations can be made to Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Center) and would be greatly appreciated.
