With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erika Knipfel in Saint-Marys, Ontario, born in Waldhof, Ontario, who passed away on January 17, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Knipfel; her nephew Paul Niemi of Thunder Bay; her parents, Adolf Mantey and Magdalena Mantey; her brothers, Harry, Heine and Willi Mantey; her siblings-in-law, Ina of Dryden, Kauko Niemi of Thunder Bay and Marg Knipfel; her nephew William; and also, John, Alfred (Betty), Walter (Irene), Howard and Bonnie Lynn Knipfel.
She is survived by: her siblings, Louise Niemi of Thunder Bay, Walter (Terezinha) and Gary Mantey (Irma) of Dryden; her sister-in-law Dorothy Knipfel of Waterloo; and her siblings' children, Lorna Larsen (Rob) of Huntsville, Linda McMullen (Pat), Sharon Niemi of Winnipeg, Delores Peters (Tony) of Port Hope, Martin Mantey (Jacqueline) of Cornerbrook, NF, Wayne Mantey (Kim) of Dryden, Kenneth Mantey (Michelle) of North Bay, Audrey Cook, Cathy Knipfel, Tom Knipfel (Joan) of Abbotsford, BC, Gerald Knipfel of Elkart, Indiana, Karen Stemphlet of Kitchener and Beth Baker (Rob) of Guelph.
