With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Spong of Saint-Marys, Ontario, who passed away on November 12, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Catherine Lynne Flood and James Flood. She is survived by: her brother Mark Flood (Cheryl); her children, Rose Marie Courtis (Perry), Catherine Spong, Margaret Cyr (Gilles) and Steven Spong (Susan Legace); her granddaughters, Danielle Milne (Kyle), Sarah Quann (Ryan), Michelle Crawford (Benjamin) and Holly McCue (Tyler); and her great grandchild Amelia Crawford.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home (30 Worsley St, Barrie, ON L4M1L4). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (208 Sunnidale Rd, Barrie, ON L4N5N9).
