He was loved and cherished by many people including : his spouse Pat Rittinger; his children, Carey (Patti), Wendy (Kevin), Andrea and Shelley; his grandchildren, Shelby, Amber, Ashley, Kristen, Brooklynn, Devon, Daylon, Davian and Olivia; his parents, Isobel and Bruce Compass; his siblings-in-law, Edna and Tony Retzler; his sister Lynda (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Diane (Tom) and Dennis (Debbie).
