He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his children, Larry Lavigne of Red Deer and Joan Calhoun of Indiana; his great grandchild Izabella Deter of Nova Scotia; his siblings, Mary MacDonald, Rose Maruschak, Arnold Lavigne and Margaret Lavigne; and his father Pokeshaw.
He is survived by: his daughters, Leona Deter (Jake) of Ottawa, Linda Whittaker of Kitchener, Jayne Ferriss of Alberta and Julie Lavigne-Kolpean (Ken) of Bloomingdale.
