She was predeceased by: her husband William Milligan; her parents, Edward Kairns and Irene Kairns; her siblings, Ann Thompson and Teddy Kairns; and her nephews, John Lyons and Adam Thompson.

She is survived by: her sister Rose Kairns; her brother-in-law Jack Thompson; and her nieces and nephews, Ted Thompson (Maryan), John Thompson (Janet), Catherine Mentlik (David), Barbara Jean Madill (Keith) and Mary Ann Lyons. She is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
