He was predeceased by : his parents, Victor Strickland and Hattie Jane Strickland (Jackson); and his siblings, Floyd, Clarence, Ambrose Strickland, Lucy MacNeil, Gloria Pottie and Mona Bowland.

He is survived by : his wife Bertha Strickland (Ens); his children, Victor Strickland (Karen) of Aylmer and Valerie Strickland of Dallas, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Eric and Julia (Karly). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
