He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Cater and Violet Cater. He is survived by: his brothers, Michael (Jackie) of Langley, BC and Dan (Deborah) of St. Thomas, ON.; his wife Joanne (Coveney); his children, Candice (Nathan Baltus) and Cory (Adriana Vizzari); his grandchildren, Caleb, Cadence, Coen of Bruce Mines, Loretta, Matthew, Antonia and Gabriella of St. David's; and his sister-in-law Judy Coveney of Aurora, Ontario..

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (45 Elgin St, St Thomas, ON N5R3L9).
