We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2024, Janet Mitchell of Saint-Thomas, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Janet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband John McIntosh Mitchell; her children, Josh (Veronica) and Sarah (Desmond); her grandchildren, Zachary and Abby; and her siblings, Audrey (Roy) and Dennis (Joan).

Memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

“Hi Sarah and Josh, It was such a fitting tribute and I appreciate so much to be a part of the celebration of your mum at what still remains such a difficult time. I do know how hard that it is and you guys each did such a wonderful job on Friday that it just blows me away how you brought her right there with us. It was a very soothing time to hear those stories and to share them again with the family when I got home. Jeff Bienhaus”
