He was predeceased by: his wife Wilhelmina "Willie" Vandermaarel (Van Etten); and his parents, Adrian Vandermaarel and Anna Vandermaarel (Van Heyningen). He is survived by: his children, Ed (Sherrey), Ron (Sue), Terry (Pat) and Kevin (Karey); and his grandchildren, Emileigh, Justin, Nick, Lucas, Josh and Alex. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (45 Elgin St, St Thomas, ON N5R3L9). A Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Angels' Church (502 Talbot St, St Thomas, ON N5R3R6).
