Though John may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Philip Adams (Cheryl) and Julia Adams (Carman Rosener); his nieces, Kelli Vessoyan (Jack) and Jodi McCutcheon; his great-nephews, Alex, Nicholas, Ben and Sam; and his parents, Alton Adams and Mary Adams (Traill).

Remembrances may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Elgin Hiking Trail or to the University of Western Ontario.
