It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John E. W. Pountney of Saint-Thomas, Ontario, born in Dorchester, Ontario, who passed away on January 10, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his sister Mary Ashby; and his parents, Edwin W. Pountney and Tryntje "Kay" Dagenais. He is survived by : his wife Susan Pountney. He is also survived by his cousins and by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners or Hospice of Elgin will be gratefully acknowledged.
