He was predeceased by : his former life partner Elizabeth Luft (McLean); his grandparents, Spencer Ridge and Kyra Martin; and his parents, Edward Luft and Irene Luft (Forler).

He is survived by : his wife Ellen Luft (DeMartin); his children, Kelly and Karen Luft; his stepdaughters, Yolanda Ridge (Timothy) and Heather Martin (Wesley); his grandchildren, Jesse John Luft Moir and Maclean Ross Luft Moir; his brother David Edward Luft; and also, Sandy Moir and Oliver.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club (42325 Sparta Line, Union, ON N0L2L0).

Remembrances may be made to the St. Thomas Curling Club Building Fund, Hospice of Elgin or the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation.
