With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John Walton of Saint-Thomas, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on June 2, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Lydia Wanda Walton (Evaschuk); his child Leslie Walton (late Mary Jo); his sister Kay; his brother-in-law Perce Bentley; and his parents, Henry George and Marion Walton (Taylor).
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Herbert (Mark) and Kathy Hesse (Werner); his grandchildren, Robert Walton, Adam Ostrander, Amiel, James Walton, Lesley Clarkson, Trudy, Geoff Kitchen, Kayla Schoenthier, Dan Abel, Tyrell, Megan Hesse, Breyden, Cassie Hesse, Jason, Leanne Herbert and Jen McMahon; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Elise, Colton, Angus, Bloom, Juno, Mackenzie, Reese, Maks, Oliver, Charlie, Hailey, Riley, Cameron, Jacob, Kenzie and Olivia; and his friend Joyce Erends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Thomas Anglican Church (20 Flora St, St Thomas, ON N5P2X4). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Remembrances may be made to the Shriners' Children's Hospital, the St. Thomas Anglican Church or any charitable organization that teaches children to play an instrument.
