He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Vachon and Viola Vachon; and his siblings, Marie Hawgood (Bob), Lorraine Neville (Roy) and Rob Vachon (Eva).
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sons, Tom Vachon (Regina) of Mississauga, John Vachon (Kim) of St. Catharines and Mark Vachon (Marzieh) of Halifax; his grandchildren, Chantal, Carley, Lukas, Katie and Mila; and his siblings, Larry Vachon and Lynn Vachon.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home (31 Elgin St, St Thomas, ON N5R3L9). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Angels' Church (502 Talbot St, St Thomas, ON N5P1C2).
