She was predeceased by: her husband Murray Hornby; her close friend Eric M'Creadie; her son Brian Hornby; her brother John Blackledge; and her parents, Fred Blackledge and Eva Blackledge.

She is survived by: her sons, Ken Hornby (Cyndi) and Allan Hornby (Marlene); her grandchildren, Rebecca, Christopher, Jessica, Jaime, Mark, Donald and Alexander; her brother Arthur Blackledge (Isabel); her sisters-in-law, Sheila Blackledge and Judi Hornby; and her daughters-in-law, Liz and Wanda. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
