She was predeceased by: her parents, Maisie Thibert and John Thibert; her former husband Mel Travers; her husband Charles Gilchrist; her daughter Marie Elaine Travers; her children-in-law, Judy Travers and Bill Ripley; her stepdaughter Joanne Hickey; and her brother Wilfred Thibert.

She is survived by: her children, Pat Ripley, Frank Travers, Sandy Dubkowski (Ernie) and Jim Gilchrist (Lorraine); and her grandchildren, Paula Gunn, Brian Ripley, Maureen Hickey, Sheilah Wedge, Shannon Hickey, Todd Gilchrist, Derek Gilchrist, Farrah Gilchrist, Paul Dubkowski, Julie Coffin, Chris Travers, Mandy Mannering and Bill Mannering. She is also survived by grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
