He was predeceased by: his sister Myrna Smith (Earl); and his parents, Sherwood Tansley and Muriel Tansley (Jewel). He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Tansley (Allen); his children, Michael Tansley (Rosa), Paul Tansley (Kara) and Nancy Tansley (Bev); his grandchildren, Brian, Kelly, David, Laura Tansley, Katie, Drew Tansley, Susan Boldt (Jaxson) and Brandon McDermid; his great grandchildren, Zachery McDermid, Liam Boldt, Max Boldt, Charlotte Boldt, Logan and Zoe Tansley; and his sister-in-law Barbara Ball. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.
