She was predeceased by: her husbands, Dr. Bruce Cantelon and David Payne; her son David John Payne; her sister Susan; and her parents, John Paull Staple and Winifred Gladys Staple (Coates).
She is survived by: her children, Heather Todd (John) and Rick Payne (Sonia); her stepchildren, David Cantelon (Babylyn), John Cantelon (Pat) and Cathy Kersten (Kevin); her grandchildren, Stephen (Stephanie), Janelle (Brian), Amanda (Jag), Tom (Kristen), Spencer (Danielle), Sean (Cali), Christian, Nicole, Matthew, Nicholas and Lauryn; her great grandchildren, Quinton, Chloe, Levi, Cecilia, Hayden and Reese; her sister Caroline; and her pet Colette. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre (LHSC Foundation) or to the new St. Thomas Animal Shelter.
