She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Martel and Marie-Anne Martel. She is survived by: her children, Gary Whitehead, Sauble Beach and Christine Gentry (Adam); and her grandchildren, Zachary Walter, Julia McLean (Devin), Benjamin Walter and Samantha Walter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
