He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Capek and Mary Capek; his brothers-in-law, Aldridge Remes, Larry Daoust and Jack Hawkins; and his nephew Timothy Remes.
He is survived by: his significant other Carol Anne Capek (Hawkins); his daughters, Carol Cooper (Ian) and Rhonda Hawkins; his grandchildren, Matthew, Amber Bauer, Meadow Rowe and Jack Dionne; his sisters, Mary Remes and Helen Daoust (Alabama); his sister-in-law Gloria Hawkins of Sarnia; and his nieces and nephews, Janey Pettit (Bill), Karen Remes, Kathy Culverhouse, Kelly Ebrom (Joel), David Brander of Calgary, Wayne Brander (Lori) of Cobourg, Thomas Hawkins of Sarnia, Frank Remes and Donald (Jeannetta). He is also survived by his many cousins and friends.
