She was predeceased by: her spouse Waverley Ponting; and her siblings, James, Bill Townsend, Irene Cronmiller, Gladys Stackhouse and Helen Aspden.

She is survived by: her children, Jean (David Spiece) of Sarnia and Doug (Peggy) of Woodstock; her grandchildren, David, Christine, Tanya, Greg, Amber and Bethany; her great grandchildren, Daniel, Rachel, Brandon, Ara-Marie and Darren; her great great grandchild Peyton; and her siblings, George Townsend of St. Williams and Dora Stackhouse of St. Williams.
