Barbara Anne Thomson Obituary
If you don’t believe in miracles, you haven’t met my mom.
With broken hearts, the family shares that Barbara Anne Thomson, wife of the late Jack Lewis Thomson, went to be with her Lord on October 29th, 2018 while in the arms of her daughter at St. Joseph's Hospice. She is lovingly and forever remembered by her children and grandchildren; Nikki, Jodeci, Ebinee, JJ, Rob (Michele) Jacquie, Chrissy, her father; Gordon Matthews (late Gladys), her siblings; Gord, Bonnie, Nancy, Ron, many nieces and nephews, church family, neighbours, and friends. Barbara was a follower of Christ, an amazing award winning quilter, an avid volunteer her entire life, an advocate for those less fortunate, and an outstanding employee in earlier years at Cabot Carbon, Imperial Oil, and teaching Business and Psychology at various post secondary institutions. Most of all, she was a kind person with a grateful heart who smiled through adversity until her last day. Thank you to Dr. Kost Elisevich for saving Barbara's life on Christmas Day 32 yrs ago, the years of care given by those at all hospital sites in London ON, Dr. Ian Campbell (Vicky and Patty), Dr. Crozier, MGM direct care staff, Bluewater Health ER, Palliative, Telemetry, ICU, Medical floors staff, volunteers, Lambton College nursing students and clinical instructors, Dr. Maddison, and St. Joseph's Hospice direct care staff and all volunteers, and the incredible support from family friends and co-workers during this difficult time and always. All are welcome for a candlelight funeral service on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, 391 London Rd., Sarnia, with light food and refreshments immediately following at the same location.
