He was predeceased by: his child Michele Baas; his siblings, Bill Turner and Netty McEwen; his siblings' children, Karen Turner, Cindy, Christine McEwen and Blake Barr; his parents, Willem Baas and Martina Baas; and his father-in-law Duddy Barr.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his son Michael Baas (Michelle); his stepchildren, Terry Rose (JoAnne) and Kelly Ryan; his grandchildren, Taylor, Jared, Troy, Corey, Jody, Tyler, Owen and Declan; his great grandchild Casper; his sibling Jean Turner; and his niece Sandra Turner.
