He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Eric McKenzie and Ella McKenzie; his sister Carol Durco; and his In-laws, Frank and Pat Ingles and Ray and Madelyn Ingles.

He is survived by: his daughter Heather Prior (Russell); and his granddaughters, Emily and Julia Prior. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
