He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Ritchie; his children, Paul Ritchie (Sharon) and Kirsten Boire (Rob); his grandchildren, Mickayla, Ryan, Mya and Declan; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Sutherla.
