He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith; his children, Stephen Shepherd (Marcy Jordan), Errol Shepherd (Sherry Depeiza), Troy Griffith, Daughter, Julianna Trotman-Griffith, Tanesha Smith (Thomas Lindsay) and Tianna Smith; his grandchildren, Donovan, Shayla (Jarred), Ashley, Trey, Cassius, Tristan, Kiara, Darian and Faith; his great grandchildren, Dalton, Natalia, Kiana, Ella and Hunter; and his siblings, Garnet, Sylvia, Gwendolyn and Sheila. He is also survived by his 19 nieces and 24 nephews.
