He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Margaret; and his siblings, Shirley Huctwith and Bill. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kingdon (Fyfe); his children, Beverley Gilbert (Brian), Brian Kingdon (Lori), Sandra Gagnon and Kelly Taylor (Jasen); his grandchildren, Jamie Gagnon, Sydney Taylor, Jakeb Taylor and Vincent Barnes-Kingdon; and his sister Frances Johnson.

Memorial donations made in memory of Gene to the Sarnia Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
