She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivy Whitnell (Payne) and Arthur Whitnell; and her siblings, Lily Lindsay, Bette Alexander and John Whitnell (Jack).

She is survived by: her children, Julie Lewis (John Visosky) of Stouffville, ON and Mark Lewis of Mission, BC..
