He was predeceased by: his parents, William Maidment and Emily Maidment; his siblings, Gordon "Jack", Blanche and Cavell; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Walsh, Frank Walsh and Walter Walsh.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean; and his siblings, Harry Maidment (Pauline) of Whitbourne, NL. and Jane Fifield (Max). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
