With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Alphonse Charest (Sarnia, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 3, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gilbert may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gilbert touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Minka; his children, John Charest and Michelle Blais (Sean); and his grandchildren, Crystal, Olivia and Cole Blais.
