He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Butler and Pearl Swift. He is survived by: his wife Helen (Armstrong); his children, Darryl Butler (Sheila) and Jeri MacPherson (John); his grandchildren, Jeff Daley (Mandy), Derek Butler (Lauren), Matt Butler (Chloe) and Stacey Butler-Dalrymple (Andy); his great grandchildren, Trey, Taylor Mae Daley, Davis, Austin Butler, Vivienne and Eloise Butler; and his brother James (Jimmy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Pallative Care Sarnia.
