She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham DeVries and Johanna DeVries; her daughter Lydia Mellema (Ron Mitton); her siblings, Ada Heikamp (Kaas), Mary Diepeveen (Jake), Jan DeVries (Tetje), Ellen VanDooren (Bill), Abraham DeVries and Margaret Stelpstra; and her sister-in-law Ann DeVries.

She is survived by: her children, Catherine (Herb), Joyce (Brad), Ray and Yvonne; her grandchildren, Greg (Melissa), Steve, Hanna, Erin, Paul (Luna), Renee, Levi, David and Ethan; and her brothers, Jack DeVries, Keith DeVries (Corrie) and John DeVries (Sionne). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
